Peter Thomas Roth Laser-Free Retexturizer Scrub Review

When it comes to skincare one item that you need to have in your routine is a good exfoliator. One you would use at least twice a week. I have noticed these days that there are daily cleansers that exfoliate as well each time you use them but to me it’s not really the same thing. A daily one can’t do I feel anyway as good of a job as one that you use once or twice a week. Sometimes ones that are multi-tasking products just don’t as well, but that just my thoughts. :|
When I got asked about doing a possible review for a brand new product by Peter Roth I’m like awesome! :) I have heard of the brand and have tried a few products before.
What I got was their Laser-free Retexturizer exfoliating face scrub that says it has Dragon Blood in it. I have only heard about Dragon Blood as incense and candles scent but never in a product. So I really made want to test it and see what is so special about having Dragon’s Blood in it?

Exfoliating Scrub by Peter Thomas Roth

—What they say about it:
This multi-action retexturizer reveals smooth, radiant skin. Scrub with jojoba beads that microscrub, exfoliates with papaya enzyme, peel with gylcolic acid, repair with dragon’s blood™ and moisturize with sweet almond, apricot and mango oils. Retexturize, resurface, renew and moisturize dull, aging, overexposed skin. Reveal dramatically younger looking, smoother, radiant, replenished skin. Helps improve texture, minimize pores and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. Helps even out skin tone and clarify skin. Multi-action retexturizer exfoliates manually, enzymatically and chemically while simultaneously repairing and moisturizing. Skin is left moisturized and clarified with non-comedogenic sweet almond, apricot and mango oils.
Benefits:
• Suitable for skin types including dry, normal, oily and even acne-prone.
• Improves skins tone and texture.
• Gives skin an instant, radiant glow.

What you do is apply it to your face and massage it in and leave it on for up to 7 minutes depending on your skin. Dragon Blood which gives it the red color is a red resin drawn from the Amazon’s Croton Lechleri tree that helps reduce the appearance of inflammation and accelerate repair. But you need to test on your skin before going longer than a minute or two. I use glycolic acid based products on my face all the time so for me having it on my face for up to 7 minutes doesn’t hurt/break out/ over-dry my skin.

Glycolic acid helps by remove dead skin cells which in turn helps your skin renew itself better and not look as dull. In fact when you are in your thirties or older it’s a good idea to start adding glycolic acid based products to your routine. Now Laser-Free Retexturizer has little jojoba beads in it to help exfoliate your skin so this one is a really good multi-taster product that still stays doing just one thing.
Peter Thomas Roth what it looks like
First time I tested it I didn’t leave it on long enough for me to see any real difference. And you really have to rinse it well to remove the little jojoba beads cause if you don’t you will keep feeling them when you are applying your serums etc. :(

If you look at the image you can see the little jojoba beads in the scrub.
Like I said length of time you leave on your face depends on your face and how your skin reacts. Next time I used it I applied a heavier layer and I massage it in a bit longer and left it on for seven minutes.
Now I really saw a difference!! It really made my skin look better, feel better and it didn’t dry it out!! Removing dead skin cells, it helps my face look a bit brighter, a little less dull and tired.
The tube says use it as often as needed but for me I wouldn’t use it more than twice a week. You got test your skin before using it more than twice a week I think. You don’t want to over-dry out your skin. It says it’s good for all skin types so that good to know.

It will run you around $38.00 and you can get it here.
